My name is Angela Chamberlain, and I am a natural birthkeeper and holistic therapist.
I worked as an NHS midwife for 12 years, during which time I won the Best Midwife Award at The Sun’s Who Cares Wins ceremony (click here to read more).
But this year I made the decision to leave my role as I felt I no longer wanted to be part of a broken system.
Unfortunately the NHS has made birth a medical procedure and most women no longer feel in control of their birth choices or are even fully informed of the options available to them.
So I decided to create New Additions in order to meet my true calling – helping to facilitate physiological birth and supporting women and families in reclaiming their birth journey.
